City Brand helped The Army in obtaining sign-ups for their recruitment day at the ACC in Ipswich. This was done via flyer distribution as well as isotonic drinks, an A-Frame banner and a gazebo located near the corn exchange and 2 ad bikes placed in high footfall areas along the high street.
The City Brand team set up outside the ACC with drinks and flyers as well as a gazebo and a frame (again with drinks and flyers) near the market square.
The team were delegated to either manning the gazebo, manning the table at the ACC or leaflet distribution around the town centre in teams of two. All the staff wore branded clothing with a lanyard marked “promotional staff” to help dispel the notion that we were part of the army.
The mandate for all promotional staff was to find a particular demographic within the populous, trying to hand out as many flyers as possible with the aim of getting them through the door of the ACC and handing them over to the army recruitment officers.
