Hoodrich x JD - Hoops in the Hood

In Collaboration with RWD Agency, we helped design and build of a 3-tier immersive basketball activation at the Bullring Birmingham.

To expose their relationship with JD as well as celebrating the opening of JD's new flagship store at the Bullring, Hoodrich wanted to bring elements of the outdoors indoor to challenge the usual shopping centre activation.


Through JD's trusted agency RWD, we helped design and build a 3-tier 'street' basketball challenge to strengthen the brand awareness as well as drive traffic to the store.


The 12 x 6 x 6m space featured a fully netted truss system with a custom tournament grade stack of hoops 8, 14 and 20ft high. It was then fully branded ready for the live day which involved DJ sets, competitions and prize giveaways.


Over 40,000 people saw the event with 100's actually taking part.
